ICS TRIPLEX T8461 works with a machine PLC
KEB’s Safety PLC is an Ethernet fail-safe (FSoE) host that is used in conjunction with the machine PLC to perform and monitor the machine’s safety functions. FSoE uses the black channel method and can be used in other bus systems. KEB’s safety PLCS are connected to other FSoE slave modules, such as safe I/O and servo drives with safe motion functions.
To monitor security equipment with a security PLC, KEB now offers the most secure I/O module available. Each FSoE slave device has four security inputs, two security outputs, and four OSSD outputs. Because these modules use EtherCAT for fast, real-time communication, they are also ideal for existing systems or installations that require a scalable solution. A single FSoE host can control up to 65,535 slave devices.
KEB’s COMBIVIS Studio 6 now includes a security editor that can be used with KEB’s FSoE security PLC and I/O. This single programming environment allows programmers to develop the entire machine with a single software program, including motion control and safety. KEB’s security editor uses CoDeSys’ authentication plug-ins and programs with functional blocks. According to IEC 61800-5-2, COMBIVIS Studio is also used to configure KEB’s safe motion drives, which also support FSoE and safe motion functions.
