MTL 8502-BI-DP digital input isolation gate module
8502-BI-DP (Bus Interface Module) The BIM provides a communication link between 800 series /O modules and A profibus-dp host. It collects data from modules at high speeds while the LAN operates at speeds up to 6mbaud, allowing the host to respond quickly to conditions during control.
BIM collects /O module data and makes it available on request of the owner. It’s a slave to the Profibus mainframe. As well as cyclic data exchange, which is necessary to read the input BIM supports Profibus Extended, which supports writing diagnostic status information to the output data. It also supports a number of special features that have been implemented to allow high efficiency system operation and field maintenance. Connect the MTL8000 node to the Profibus-DP host LAN
Supports more than 24 I/O module HART processes and state variables via Profibus-DP Extended module and channel state diagnostics
LAN speeds up to 6m baudConfigure with non-volatile memory
The software can be maintained via a local port or the Profibus host configuration HARTR via a communication adapter
The 8502 supports parameterization from the Profibus host. This is configured on a “per module” basis, that is, all channels on one channel module carry the same configuration. The configuration is created by the Profibus configurator using the details provided in the GSD file. This method is fast and builds can be configured based on it on “logical” modules that represent physical modules.
Logic modules can be selected to provide HART state and process variables in the Profibus-DP loop input telegrams. In addition, HART “mailboxes” can be used for applications that require access to many HART variables. The technique collects HART variables as required; Saving space in telegrams and sometimes over-processing data. This method can be parameterized only when used.
The configuration is passed down from the Profibus master to the BIM at the beginning of the meeting. If the system stops and restarts, the configuration file is transferred back to the BIM.
