Each ROS passes the correct ASC information to the operator HMI and issues operator commands to the specified ASC.
The yard command PLC system interacts with all crane PLCS and ROS PLCS to:
Monitor a line of cranes that are idle but assigned to work by TOS.
Assign the next available operator to the next crane in the queue.
Logically link separate crane PLC and ROS controls for each job and ensure a low latency connection that remains responsive.
The PLC also selects the appropriate camera view through IP address management.
Visualization is performed using PC-based HMI software, with each ASC running a separate PC-based HMI to meet the ASC’s local visualization needs. Field-wide views are provided with the same HMI software configured in the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) role. HMI/SCADA also records data and provides centralized and remote alarms.
