Removing an I/O module Removing each I/O module that uses the terminal component: 1. Locate the lock screw head on the front of the module. Use a wide (9 mm) flat-head screwdriver for counterclockwise rotation of the screw a quarter turn to make the slot vertical.

2. Grab the top and bottom of the module and pull it from the controller. Disconnect and remove existing terminal components. 1. Record the identification and position of each cable on the TA terminal panel, and then disconnect each cable.

Press the fixed lugs under the terminal assembly (multiple lugs for dual and three-module redundant versions) and then push the terminal assembly down. 3. Take out the terminal assembly fittings and connect the new terminal assembly.

Insert the fixing clips on the rear of the terminal assembly into the slot on the I/O basic unit. Press the terminal assembly onto the base and slide to assemble as much as possible. Ensure that each fixed latch is clamped to the printed circuit board to set the terminal components in place.

Connect cables to the screw panel. Apply a minimum tightening torque of 0.5 Nm (0.37 ft.lb.) to the terminal screw. 3. Insert the I/O module (see I/O Module installation program).
