UTNH23B Optical shared Hub Unit for information and control network TC-net 100 The UTNH series constitutes the TC-net 100 optical transmission line. It uses an MT-RJ optical connector with eight ports. The hub unit also has a port for the RJ-45 module connector, which can be connected to TC-net 100(twisted pair) devices. When using A single unit, use an optical shared hub unit for line A transmission line UTNH23A(SNMP installed for TC-net 100) or for line B transmission line UTNH23B.
The TC-net 100 is a monitoring and control LAN with integrated controllers that can be configured using fiber optic transmission lines and twisted pair cable transmission lines. The Fiber shared hub unit is necessary to configure the fiber transmission line, which connects TC-net 100 stations to the network. UTNH23A with TC-net 100 SNMP installed allows diagnostics of ports connected to a fiber optic shared hub unit. The standard TC-net 100 has dual transmission lines where line A is used to connect to UTNH23A and line B is used to connect to UTNH23B.

The information and control network TC-net 100 has the following characteristics.
• Open
TC-net 100 is a monitoring network with the open characteristics of 100mbps Ethernet, collision avoidance capabilities and deterministic time response.
• Communication services
The communication service includes scanning transmission (circular broadcast sending and receiving) and ordinary message transmission that periodically control data transmission.
There are three modes of scan transmission: high speed mode, medium speed mode and low speed mode. These patterns can be assigned according to data refresh cycles to ensure real-time response later on.
• Message transmission supports not only TCP, UDP and IP, but also Toshiba standard protocol PCMP.
• High reliability
Dual transmission line configurations build highly reliable systems. Electro-optical transmission line is optional.
