WOODWARD 9908-1501 GS16 gas control valve
WOODWARD 9908-1501 GS16 gas control valve
WOODWARD 9908-1501 GS16 gas control valve,Electric control valves for airborne drives in industrial gas turbine engines.
Woodward’s GS16 gas control valve is an airborne drive electric control valve for industrial gas turbine engines. The gas throttling portion of the valve uses a self-cleaning, shearing action to protect the 1.5-inch control port from contamination that could affect optimal performance. Rated at 750 psi, the GS16 gas valve is equipped with an electric on-board drive with dual resolvers and dual ducts for gas or ambient temperatures up to 200°F (93°C).
Woodward GS16 gas control valves are electrically driven and are suitable for industrial and aviation-derived gas turbines with gas flows up to 30,000 lb/h (13,607 kg/h). This component provides a reliable and economical interface between electronic control systems and gas turbines for power generation, compressor or mechanical drive applications. The valve assembly can be used in base turbines or in multi-valve configurations with low emission requirements.
The GS16 valve assembly combines highly durable Woodward self-cleaning metering valves and high-torque actuators to ensure long-term operation in all types of gas fuel services. The valve assembly has an onboard electronic controller module for easy system packaging and installation.

The gas throttling portion of the GS16 valve uses a self-cleaning, shearing action to protect the control ports from contamination that could inhibit optimal performance. Three control port sizes (1.0 “, 1.5 “, 2.0 “) are available to optimize fuel flow in a variety of application scenarios. The GS16 gas valve is electrically driven by an on-board drive and can accommodate gas or ambient temperatures up to 200°F (93°C).
